Andrew Hoine was elected to the Vanderbilt Board of Trust in 2018. He received a bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt in 1996.
Mr. Hoine is a partner, co-portfolio manager, and the director of research at Paulson and Company, Inc., a private hedge fund sponsor. Mr. Hoine is a trustee of the Collegiate School, on the Board of Directors of Common Sense Media and a former member of the Board of Trustees at the Park Avenue Synagogue.
At Vanderbilt, Mr. Hoine has been a member of the College of Arts and Science Board of Visitors since 2009. He and his wife Jennifer established a scholarship to provide need-based support in the College of Arts and Science in addition to establishing the Andrew and Jennifer Hoine Chair in Economics to support a faculty member in the Department of Economics at the College of Arts and Science. The Hoines have also been generous supporters of faculty research efforts. Mr. Hoine also served as a community member of the VUMC Trademark License Revenue Advisory Group and the Arts and Science dean search committee.
Jennifer and Andrew Hoine have two children and reside in New York City.
