Hi, my name is Svetlana. Before moving to Nashville I’ve lived in Russia and Israel. I like Nashville because compared to Russia, the winters are not as cold and compared to Israel, the difference in seasons is more noticeable. For the last three years I’ve also been enjoying the Biostatistics PhD program here at Vanderbilt. My statistical interests include: survival analysis, rank association measures, and Bayesian modeling. Besides being a student, I like oil painting, swing dancing, and programing for fun. I feel very lucky to be part of this department because the department members and my fellow students have very diverse professional interests and they are friendly and supportive.
