Degree Program: M.S., Biostatistics
I am Kirsten Cottingham, a native of Birmingham, Alabama. I received a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Pre-Health concentration from Tuskegee University. I have also received a Master of Science in Public Health from Meharry Medical College. While a student at Meharry, I developed an interest in biostatistics and conducted research projects focused on Rasch Model analysis and simulation models. My interests include applied statistical methods in public health and medicine, causal inference, health outcomes, and survival and event history analysis. I am passionate about health disparities, health care disparities, and cancer. In my free time, I enjoy community service, playing tennis, traveling, reading, and exploring Nashville.
