Biostatistics Graduate Student Association

The Biostatistics Graduate Student Association, founded in 2016, is an American Statistical Association (ASA) chapter and a registered student organization at Vanderbilt University.

Mission

We seek to facilitate an environment for students to engage in discussions regarding biostatistics and data science concepts in order to further their knowledge and understanding of the current state of the field.

Activities

The BGSA hosts journal club and other gatherings. Its members advise and assist faculty and staff with lightning talks, award nominations, and other programs and resources. Ruby Xiong is the 2023–2024 journal club organizer.
