This is a multi-purpose space equipped with an AV unit, projector, 6.1 Sound System and removable seating (accommodates 85 seats theater style). The auditorium is equipped with a DVD/Blu-Ray player, a podium with stationary and hand-held microphones and connections for laptops.
This room has 16 seats with a conference table. A/V support includes 75″ Smart TV monitor with Blu-ray player and HDMI connection for mobile devices.
This space is for meetings, classes, and other similar events.
The Legacy Lounge serves as a tribute to the first African Americans to attend Vanderbilt University. Through text, timelines, and visuals, the lounge captures the unique experiences of Black students since the admission of Bishop Joseph Johnson in 1953. Seating varies with a capacity of about 15 students. AV support includes 65″ Smart TV with access to several media platforms.
Undergraduate Study Lounge
The Undergraduate Study Lounge is a place for quiet study and research. It seats about 12 students and includes table tops, connections for charging mobile devices and a unique wall display which chronicles the experiences of Blacks at Vanderbilt University through various Hustler articles.
Graduate/Professional Student Lounge
This space is reserved for our graduate and professional students. It includes a comfortable couch, study modules, a small meeting table and a TV monitor. The walls display the first graduates of the various graduate and professional programs at Vanderbilt University.
The kitchen space located next to the auditorium is used for catering events and student use. The kitchen is equipped with a full refrigerator, a microwave oven, kitchen sink and cabinet storage areas.
The lower level of the BCC is a lounge space for unwinding and recharging. The Underground is equipped with couches and chairs, a TV monitor and other amenities.
