FCAI’s Salon Series continues this month with The Educational Experience of Autistic Girls with Dr. Brittney Goscicki. This session will explore what research and practice can teach us about supporting autistic girls in education, with attention to the ways gender and neurodiversity can shape educational experiences. An more extensive abstract will be added soon.
Speaker Bio: Brittney L. Goscicki, Lecturer, Department of Special Education, Vanderbilt University. Prior to earning a doctorate, Goscicki led a self-contained classroom in New York City for students on the autism spectrum. Goscicki’s research focuses on the intersection of gender and disability, including the educational experiences of neurodivergent youth, camouflaging and masking, disability advocacy, and teacher and BCBA preparation.
