Peaces – Colleen Rose McHugh

Colleen Rose McHugh is a visual artist from Hawaii with a professional background in eye care and an academic background in Studio Arts and Asian Studies. She works with drawing, fiber arts, and mixed media exploring the mind-body connection. She is based in Nashville, TN.

Peaces is an installation of mixed-media white drawings on the walls of a black room. Influenced by the principles and traditional arts of Buddhism, it is an exploration of communication, consciousness, and spirituality, and uses written language and gesture to navigate the process by which thoughts and emotions are experienced and externalized.
