Alumni connections hold strong with Vanderbilt Art professors and former students

Posted by on Saturday, June 22, 2019 in News and Events.

Professor Mel Ziegler opened his new exhibition, Activated Artifacts, in Galerie Perrotin New York this past week!

Opening on June 20 and closing on August 16, the exhibition includes new and recent works alongside his collaborative work with his late partner, Kate Ericson.

With alumni all over the world, its incredibly humbling and amazing that our alumni maintain connections with our department and faculty.

During the opening reception for Professor Ziegler’s solo exhibition, two alumni from the Class of 2016 attended the event.  Vibhu Krishna (the 2016 recipient of the Margaret Stonewall Wooldridge Hamblet Award) and Michael Oberti posed with Professor Ziegler in front of his 1000 Portraits installation.
