Thomas Colicci

My name is Thomas Colicci and I am a mechanical engineering major at Vanderbilt University. I joined the Vanderbilt Army ROTC Go Gold Battalion as a sophomore after transferring in my first year of college from SUNY Buffalo. The transfer experience has treated me well, and I have found a great community within the program. While I was not enrolled in an ROTC program in my freshman year of college, the battalion was quick to accept me and get me rolling in the right direction. In my first few months with the battalion, I tried out and eventually competed with our ranger challenge team at Fort Knox. In the future I hope to branch into the Corps of Engineers and attend Sapper School, eventually working towards becoming a combat engineer. I am very happy with my decision to transfer to Vanderbilt University and the decision to join the Army ROTC program.
