VU Plant Operations

Plant Operations provides facilities support for all construction, renovation, and routine maintenance of University Central space and facilities; housekeeping services for approximately 5.8 million square feet of academic, administrative, residential, and recreational space; grounds care for 330 acres that are a registered arboretum; turf care for athletic fields; and utilities for the University and Medical Center.

Campus Planning and Construction

Campus Planning & Construction (CPC) works to shape and maintain Vanderbilt’s campus. CPC provides management of capital projects, design of facilities and grounds, and maintenance of a facilities library. In addition to managing, planning and implementation of all major capital modifications to facilities and grounds on the Vanderbilt campus, this group addresses the inventory and management of Vanderbilt’s construction document library, GIS mapping and documentation of all utilities, and tracking of floor plans for the Space Inventory and Accounting processes.

Vanderbilt University Real Estate

Vanderbilt University Real Estate (VURE) serves institutional needs through its holdings of over 3 million gross square feet. We provide for future campus growth and assist in influencing the quality of our campus borders through strategic investments in area real estate. VURE provides administrative office space, office swing space for Vanderbilt departments with short-term needs, and clinic space for Medical Center departments. VURE also manages the off-campus commercial leasing operations for the institution (both medical center and university central). The University leases more than 1.7 million square feet in the Nashville area; notable locations include 2525 West End Avenue, One Hundred Oaks, and 3401 West End Avenue.

Vanderbilt Procurement

Purchasing Services purchases the supplies, equipment and services which support education, research and patient care at Vanderbilt University. Their mission is to cooperatively develop and execute sourcing strategies with Departments for high value products and services that meet or exceed University requirements, and to perform our services to the highest ethical and professional standards. Procurement Services is committed to promoting small, disadvantaged, and minority owned businesses through their supplier diversity program and supporting the university’s commitments to environmental responsibility and outreach to the local business community.
