Visa Waiver ESTA Registration

Persons intending to travel to the US under the Visa Waiver program must now receive authorization to use the program before they enter the US.  Visa Waiver travelers must first register with the new DHS Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA).  ESTA Registration is done electronically at the ESTA website

Effective September 8, 2010, internationals visiting the US under the Visa Waiver Program will be required to pay an ESTA fee of $14.00. All persons who are citizens or eligible nationals of a Visa Waiver Program country and meet the following conditions, must register with ESTA and receive approval before entering the USA.

  1. Do not currently have a visitor’s visa;
  2. Intend to be in the US for no more than 90 days;
  3. Plan to travel for business or pleasure

If you, friends or family members intend to travel to the US under the Visa Waiver Program, please be sure to register with ESTA to avoid problems with US Customs & Border Protection upon arrival in the US. Failure to undertake ESTA registration will result in being refused admission into the US.
