[Resolved] Visualization portal maintenance Saturday morning is now complete
Update, March 16: This maintenance is now complete.
The ACCRE Visualization Portal will go down for scheduled maintenance on Saturday, March 16th, from 6 AM to 10 AM. This will only affect web access through the Visualization Portal, so users may still run jobs on the cluster and login through the gateway nodes via SSH. If you have any portal desktops or notebooks running, these will continue to run but will be inaccessible for the duration of the downtime.
The purpose of this downtime is to migrate the portal and an associated service to a new high-availability infrastructure cluster. This action is part of an effort to move many of the services run behind the scenes at ACCRE to virtualized servers within the new infrastructure cluster. We believe that this effort will not only improve the reliability of the Visualization Portal, but also of several key services used by the cluster, which in turn should improve the general reliability of the cluster as a whole.
Again, access to login.accre.vanderbilt.edu will not be interrupted, and users may still schedule and run jobs normally. Only web access through the Visualization Portal will be affected by this maintenance.
