These pages explain how to use the ACCRE terminal and how to submit jobs to the ACCRE scheduler.
The main software components of the ACCRE cluster are:
- Linux, the operating system used by the cluster. Linux is ubiquitous throughout high-performance computing; currently all 500 of the most powerful supercomputers use it as its operating system.
- Lmod, the system used to provide software modules for use on the cluster.
- SLURM, the job scheduler. SLURM assigns jobs to one of the 600 compute nodes on the ACCRE cluster, and keeps track of each job as it completes.
We have also created a printable cheat sheet of the most common Linux, Lmod and SLURM commands.
