Tiffany Onifer, a Cuyahoga Falls, OH native, grew up in the heart of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. She received her A.C.S. accredited B.S. degree in Chemistry from Waynesburg University, located in the southwestern hills of PA in the spring of 2014. Tiffany was part of the Vanderbilt University’s Searle Systems Biology and Bioengineering Undergraduate Research Experience (SyBBURE) in the summer of 2013. Her previous research includes improving the microdialysis sampling of neuropeptides under Dr. Heidi Fletcher (Waynesburg), developing a microfluidic microdialysis chip to be used in organ-on-a-chip research under Dr. Kevin Seale (Vanderbilt), and the structural characterization of polyurethane precursors under Dr. David Hercules and Dr. John McLean (Vanderbilt). Tiffany joined the McLean group in the Fall of 2014. In her free time, Tiffany enjoys rock climbing, exploring National Parks, and volunteering at Whole Foods’ cooking school.
