A first year graduate student, Kaitlin Schroeder was born and raised in Fort Collins, Colorado. She attended Colorado State University, graduating with a bachelor's degree in chemistry in December of 2009. During the summer of 2009, she conducted research at the FBI laboratory in Quantico under the direction of Dr. Libby Stern, working on a project aimed at the development of a database for the identification of human remains. Her scientific interests include toxicology, forensic science, and pathology. Outside of the lab, Kaitlin enjoys photography and soccer. She hopes to run a government or state forensics lab after completing her studies at Vanderbilt.
