Welcome to our website

The Cliffel Research Group in the department of Chemistry at Vanderbilt University is focused on electroanalytical measurements in nanoscale and biological systems, as well as synthesis and characterization of gold nanoparticles. We are located in Stevenson Center (SC) 5512/16 (instrumentation and synthetic) and SC 5526 (synthetic and nanomaterials laboratory) on Vanderbilt's campus.

Today was the last day for Eryn Stockdale, our summer student from the Naval Academy.

Dr. Cliffel, Dr. Jennifer McKenzie, Dr. Danielle Kimmel, Dave Crisostomo, Evan Gizzie, Anna Davis, Andy Cognata, Adam Travis, and Aaron Daniel presented their work at The 2015 Pittsburgh Conference on Analytical Chemistry and Applied Spectroscopy (Pittcon). The lab enjoyed a few days in New Orleans, LA and despite some ill-timed rain had an amazing trip. We even got to meet Dr. Pete Conn! Also Congratulations to Adam for winning Amazon gift cards at the Expo!
