Tabletop Tango
Collected by Beth Labick (Beth.A.Labick@Vanderbilt.edu)
Summary: This tale involves one guy on a study abroad program who had
sex with every girl in the program.
Text: This guy from an unnamed University took part in a study abroad
program the semester before. While there, he managed to get no studying accomplished, but
did manage to remain in a constant state of drunkeness or highness. Apparently, he had a
really good time there, as he managed to convince every girl there last semester into
having sex with him at some point during the semester. He almost always had them on the
library tables for the first time, laughing at the fact that most of the people had class
on those tables the next day, without them being wiped down.
Notes: Many of the other people who also studied there during my
semester had heard tales of this guy's prowess the semester
before from their classmates who had taken part in the program during the fall. These
other tales related only secondhand personal stories, and did not go into the extent of
his sexual success. Yet, when all the individual stories are put together, the informant's
version (secondhand telling from the guy's version itself) gains plausibility. While the
story seemed unlikely to the informant at first, through further discussion with others
lead her to believe in the validity of the story.
