ATTENDANCE POLICY
There is no attendance policy for this course. Nonetheless, it is in your own best interest to attend every class. Material presented only in lectures and/or films will be on every test.

MAKE-UP EXAMS
Make-up exams are given only in extraordinary circumstances. If you are forced to miss an exam for a legitimate reason, upon presentation of adequate written documentation the instructor may, at his discretion, elect to either give a make-up exam or to count as the missed test grade the same grade earned on the cumulative final exam.

ASSIGNED READINGS
Readings should be completed before class on the day assigned in the schedule below.

AMENDMENTS TO THE SYLLABUS
Amendments to the syllabus may be made in class and will be considered binding.

INTERNET USE
A number of Internet assignments are required for this course. Students should have a valid e-mail account with Vanderbilt (a V-Net account) and check their e-mail regularly. Students should also regularly visit the course’s World Wide Web homepage at www.vanderbilt.edu/AnS/Anthro/Anth263/ An in-class primer on Internet use will be given.
