Undergraduate Writing Symposium
This coming March at the third annual Vanderbilt Undergraduate Writing Symposium, Vanderbilt students will read and discuss successfully written course papers from across the disciplines. The event takes place at the Commons Center, a location designed to foster intellectual conversation among students and faculty. The Symposium offers students from all years the opportunity to share ideas and writing with their friends, families and the University community. Over 80 papers were nominated by instructors across campus, which have been subjected to a rigorous, two-tiered review and selection process. The writers of accepted papers then work with Writing Studio consultants as they revise their papers for the conference. The Undergraduate Writing Symposium is wonderful chance for writers to focus intensely on the writing process and share completed course papers. The symposium also affords students the opportunity to think of their writing as part of a larger conversation in a community of writers where they can be inspired and supported by the questions and conversations that take place at the event.
Please join us Sunday, March 27, from 3:00-7:00 pm at the Commons Center.
