Confidentiality and Honor Code
All consultation sessions with students are confidential, so that students will feel free to take risks in their thinking and writing during sessions. However, we do encourage students to acknowledge Writing Studio visits in conversation with their instructors, and students have the capacity to request from us proof of completed visits to the Studio.
The Writing Studio does not ensure that student writing satisfies the Vanderbilt Honor Code. Rather, consultants guide students in proper scholarly procedures and expect them to take responsibility for guaranteeing that their written work upholds the Honor Code.
