The RJLI is a weekend long training that takes an in-depth look at issues that affect our reproductive freedom and connects those issues to the broader social justice movement. At the RJLI students will expand their knowledge of reproductive health, rights, and justice; hear from experts in the social justice movement, connect with others who share their passions and learn how to take action!

ELECTION ALLIANCE
Now is the time to get involved if you want to be a part of the political revolution at Vanderbilt!
Politically inclined students can get involved with the election process by contacting Election Alliance's Lilly Massa-McKinley, lilly.m.massa@Vanderbilt.Edu in the Office of Active Citizenship and Service.
Project options and contact people:
- VOTER REGISTRATION – email lindsey.m.gilling or saul.s.siller – last day to register to vote is Oct. 6th so we need to be covering the campus from back to front for the next five weeks! More volunteers needed!
- ISSUE AWARENESS – email elizabeth.l.horn. The big event is 10/1...a hot topics issue panel with awesome faculty! Also – help put together a candidate issue exhibit complete with cardboard cutouts of Obama & McCain!
- DEBATES – email alexander.l.beard. If your organization wants to host a debate watch or help plan the student debates then get involved! We want these debate watches to be rowdy and high energy! The first one is 9/26!
- TENNESSEE TAKEOVER – email ravieshwar.g.patel or naveed.nanjee. These guys are thinking big! And want voter registration to be available to folks at every home Vanderbilt football game. There are four home games before the Oct. 6th deadline. Does your organization or committed group of friends want to register voters at a game?
- CAMPUS VOICES – contact spencer.a.montalvo or zhu.wang...do you like media, journalism, and/or video editing? Well we are trying to document all of the awesome election programs and candidate appearances around Nashville and post our videos and PSAs on YouTube for all to see. We need your help!
- ELECTION DAY! - email sarah.e.mckibben or madelene.a.tennant to help plan the all-day Get-Out-The-Vote and Returns watch party to be held at the Commons.

- VOLUNTEER FOR MCCAIN – email nehal.s.mehta to get involved through Students for McCain– campaign headquarters is close to campus and transportation is available
Contact any of these committee chairs to get on their lists and learn when and where individual meetings will be held. Also, if you have new ideas come and talk to me or any other Election Alliance member and we’ll include it!
Attached to this listserv is the fall programming calendar for the Election Alliance...awesome t-shirts and vote buttons will be at some of these events...hope to see you there!
