Susan Ford Wiltshire Essay Prize

Two awards are given each spring, one for the best undergraduate paper and one for the best graduate paper. The submitted papers must be on a topic concerning women, gender, and/or sexuality and written during the previous calendar year (spring, summer, fall 2007).

The Competition is open to students in all schools and colleges of the University, including graduating seniors.

This paper can be written for any course taught in the University. It can use any methodology or approach. The maximum length is 30 pages.

The Susan Ford Wiltshire Essay Competition, established in 1990, is cosponsored by the Women's and Gender Studies Program and the Women's Faculty Organization.

Papers should be submitted to the Women's and Gender Studies Program office in 220 Garland Hall by March 28, 2008. Prizes are $100 for undergraduate students and $200 for graduate students.
