This panoramic is about
a 180 degree view of my neighborhood, facing southwest.
On the left you can see
how the houses are crawling right up the steep hills that ring
the city. The river Chili runs through the center of this part
of the photo. It's the main river in Arequipa.
The central part of the
photo is the neighborhood that I live in--where CIARQ is located.
It's a nice neighborhood with a nice plaza (green space in the
middle), and is out on the southwest edge of town. All around
the neighborhood are irrigated fields: mostly corn, onion, garlic,
carrots and lettuce.
