2009 Auditions

Be able to do:
-Drop Spins
-Speed Spins (Double fast)
-Standard Tosses catching in various positions
-45 Tosses catching in various positions:
     1.)Right present
     2.)Right Slam
     3.)Behind the back
     4.)Behind the back, catching the silk
-Whip tosses
-Parallel Tosses
-Pole work
-Flag work while moving
-Standard Guard movement:
     1.)Across the floors
     2.)Leaps
     3.)Feet positions
     4.)STRETCHING!!!!!!!!!

If you have spun rifle:
-Bring your own 39" rifle, NOT 36". We will not be buying any, so if you want to spin, buy it before band camp and have it with you!
-Right hand spins (100-500)
-Left hand spins (100-500)
-Double time (1 and 2 handed)
-Triplet spins
-Tosses (3, 4, 5, and 6)
-Stop exercise on both sides
-Timing exercise will be taught at band camp
-Make sure that you are experienced on rifle if you plan on auditioning. We will be seeing how many people come prepared and can spin. This will not be a time for you to learn rifle. Rifle will not be spun every show, but in shows that rifle would be appropriate.

A specific routine will be taught to see how well you can utilize technique, movement and style. The fight song will also be part of the audition process, as this is one of the most important/played song of the season. It must be precise and clean throughout the season, no exceptions!
