The Vanderbilt University "Spirit of Gold" Marching Band is one of the largest student organizations at Vanderbilt University. From pep rallies to parades; from half-time to homecoming; it is the 200 members strong "Spirit of Gold" Marching Band which generates the Spirit and Excitement for all home Vanderbilt Games.

SPIRIT - Two consecutive years the "Spirit of Gold" won the Homecoming SPIRIT CUP for being the most spirited group on campus.
SCHOLARSHIPS - All members of the "Spirit of Gold" who successfully complete the season are awarded a scholarship for their involvement.
GRADES - Members of the "Spirit of Gold" have a higher Cumulative Grade Point Average than the University Wide Average.
TRAVEL - Each year the "Spirit of Gold" travels with the Commodore Football team to one away game. This year, the "Spirit of Gold" will travel to Florida to take on the Gators.
REHEARSALS - The Band rehearses Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 4:30-6:30, and one hour before home games. NO EXTRA REHEARSALS!
OPPORTUNITIES - Members of the "Spirit of Gold" also have the opportunity to join Tau Beta Sigma or Phi Mu Alpha. For more information: Send an E-Mail to: The Spirit of Gold
