Julene Reed

Julene Reed

Julene is the Director of Academic Technology for St. George's Independent School in Collierville, Tennessee. In that administrative role, she designed the technology infrastructure for that campus when it was built. She currently provides professional development opportunities for faculty on the campus, assists teachers with technology projects, conducts videoconferencing events for distance education, and manages the laptop program on the St. George’s campus.

Julene is on the Advisory Board for the Apple Distinguished Educators, on the advisory council for Dr. Jane Goodall's Roots & Shoots, and is the Director of Tennis for Memphis Special Olympics. Her passions revolve around many of the global issues that exist in today's world, and she strives to make a difference in those issues through education, using technology to affect change. Like Dr. Jane Goodall, she believes that the future of our world relies on the youth of today, and it is the responsibility of educators to empower youth to make a difference for both today and for the future.

Julene travels internationally working with organizations such as Roots & Shoots, Polar Bears International, and Apple, Inc.  She gives keynote addresses and professional workshops at conferences and meetings across the United States.
