Bob Sheesley

Bob Sheesley

Bob Sheesley served in the United States Navy Reserve from 1966 to 1968.  He was assigned to the USS Johnston DD-821 in Viet Nam from 1967 to 1968.  On this ship he worked in the weapons department, received and stored classified and confidential information, set fuses in the forward gun mount, assisted the weapons officer, and documented weapons inspections.  Upon his return home, he built homes in Sarasota Florida as president of Robert Brian Homes.  He later worked for ASCAP, the American Society for Composers, Authors, and Perfomers.  ASCAP, like SESAC, is a performing rights organization, which licenses the public performance of copyrighted music so that the writers and performers can receive appropriate compensation for their work.  At ASCAP, Bob worked as a field representative, district manager of the Miami office, and district manager of the Nashville Office.  In the early 1990's, in response to a deluge of telemarketing calls, and prior to the implementation of the national do-not-call list, Bob wrote and published The Privacy Invasion Solution.  Currently, Bob is a music licensing consultant for SESAC
