Paul Fleming

 

 

 

Before returning to Hume-Fogg as its new principal, Paul Fleming served as principal at Meigs Magnet Middle School and assistant principal at Martin Luther King Magnet School. From 1994 to 2003, he taught 9th grade Government, 10th grade World Studies, and a 12th grade Humanities courses at Hume-Fogg. He also chaired its Social Studies Department. In addition to his years at Nashville’s other two academic magnet schools, he has served on the faculty of the Governor’s School of International Studies, a one-month program for gifted high school students at the University of Memphis.  Paul Fleming grew up in Evanston, Illinois, outside of Chicago. He received his B.A. in History from The College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio and an M. Ed. from George Mason University.
