Frances Cutler holding childPoemChildren

Frances Cutler, born to Polish Jews who sought refuge in Paris, France, was taken by her mother to a children’s home at the tender age of 2 and ½. Her father joined the French Resistance: her mother was deported to Auschwitz where she died. Sent from one hiding place to another, Frances survived the war, was briefly reunited with her father and sent, once again, to a new family in the United States. Her story is one of twenty-six in the book Children Who Survived the Final Solution.
