The Vanderbilt International Office--VIO--was established in 2006 to facilitate individual and institutional connections between Vanderbilt faculty, researchers, staff, students, alumni and the larger world.
VIO oversees the Global Education Office and English Language Center and administers the following:
- VIO Research Grants Program
- VIO Curricula Grants Program
- University Partnerships & Agreements
- Nichols Humanitarian Fund
- Global Summer Fellows Program (in conjunction with the Global Education Office)
- Semi-Annual Publication, Vanderbilt International

- Facilitate connections between schools, departments, and offices to promote internationalization
