What We Do
The Vanderbilt International Office--VIO--was established in 2006 to facilitate individual and institutional connections between Vanderbilt faculty, researchers, staff, students, alumni and the larger world.
VIO administers the following:
- VIO Research Grants Program
- VIO Curricula Grants Program
- University Partnerships & Agreements
- Nichols Humanitarian Fund
- Global Summer Fellows Program (in conjunction with the Global Education Office)
- Semi-Annual Publication, Vanderbilt International

- Facilitate connections between schools, departments, and offices to promote internationalization

- Information about international travel resources, including International SOS, which provides emergency medical, security and travel assistance for university and medical center students, faculty, and staff
