Energy Transport and Conversion Website: http://telab.vuse.vanderbilt.edu/ Professor Greg Walker (Mechanical Engineering) has studied microscale energy transport in semiconductor devices as well as high performance thermoelectric structures. Using classical and quantum models, the coupled effects of thermal and electronic transport are revealed in the properties of highly scaled structures. His research has lead to design rules used to optimize the performance of device such as LEDs, transistors, thermoelectrics and vacuum devices, as well as nanostructured materials such as composites and interfaces. |
