VINSE core facilities comprise of six laboratories, three which are hosted within the class 10,000 cleanroom floorspace (Nano-optics, Nano-carbon, Silicon Integration), the remaining two within the non-classified airspace of the Chemistry Suite (Nano-crystal, Biomolecular Nanostructures). The facility has been designed to foster interactions between disciples and the cross fertilization of ideas among the researchers. The contiguous design of the floor space enables researchers to use a variety of tools in a process sequence without leaving the cleanroom environment. Each laboratory is supervised by a Ph.D. research professor or research associate with the responsibility of instructing graduate students and other users in state-of-the-art nanoscale fabrication.
