“I still go out and observe children that teachers are struggling with. I always want to have my hands in both worlds.”

“I want to be here designing research, but I don’t ever want to forget that what we are really doing is working with teachers and children and trying to improve their lives.”

As a student and researcher at Peabody’s Susan Gray School, Dr. Hemmeter has witnessed and contributed to Peabody’s rise to #1 in the national rankings. Her focus on early educational intervention and dedication to sharing her knowledge with tomorrow’s teachers continue to open a world of possibilities for children everywhere.
