Ken Catania

“It’s always good to do the fun thing, to help make others’ lives more fun and interesting.”

Long known by friends and colleagues for his creativity and humor, Professor Ken Catania has also been recognized by the prestigious MacArthur Foundation for his groundbreaking work on the sensory systems, brain evolution, and behavior of unusual mammals. However, his Neurology of Behavior students rarely forget the impact of the replicas he uses to demonstrate the case of a man who suffered behavioral changes after surviving an accident that sent a railroad tamping iron through his skull.
