Sam DeLuca Wins PhRMA Foundation Award
Sam DeLuca, a graduate student in the Meiler Laboratory, recently won an "Informatics" graduate student fellowship from the Phrma Foundation. Sam earned a B.S. in Bioinformatics and Molecular Biology at Resnsselaer Polytechnic Institute before coming to Vanderbilt. His research focuses on computational modeling of protein-small molecule interactions for drug discovery.
For over 46 years the PhRMA Foundation has supported the training, research, and careers of young pharmaceutical scientists by awarding competitive grants and fellowships. Their programs have helped facilitate the careers of scientific investigators, faculty members, and physicians and are intended to improve the field of drug discovery and development.
