The 2011 VanChiVard meeting is our fourth workshop aimed at discussion of the state of the field and future direction of Andean anthropology.

This year’s theme is “Modeling Andean Polity, State, and Nation.”

The workshop is hosted by Vanderbilt University on Friday and Saturday, May 6-7, 2011.

The format of the workshop is designed to provide an open forum for lively and interactive discussion and debate, structured around position papers written by each institution, review and critique by a respondent, and open floor discussion.
