As a Theology and Practice Fellow, her research focuses on the interplay between faith claims and critical methodologies of the Christian Old Testament/Jewish Tanakh. She has explored, for example, the canonical development of the psalter in light of evidence from Qumran, and its implications for those who describe the text as “inspired.” Current research includes Ecclesiastes’ function within the wisdom tradition, and its effective integration into Christian pedagogy. Stephanie is a licensed minister in the Church of the Nazarene.
