Kyle Brooks is a rising second-year Ph.D. student in Homiletics and Liturgics. He earned his BA and MA from Yale University, and his M.Div., along with a certificate in Religion and the Arts from the Institute of Sacred Music, at Yale Divinity School. His research interests include religion and literature, African American religious culture, and philosophy of language. He presented a paper on the possibilities of spiritual and social healing through prophetic preaching at the 2013 Southeast Regional AAR meeting. He is a 2012 recipient of the Doctoral Fellowship from the Fund for Theological Education.
