Records of previous productions before the 1957-1958 season are very unclear.  The Vanderbilt University Theatre worked with other organizations to produce plays.  Of the plays listed below, it is impossible to tell at this point which productions were VUT Mainstage productions and which productions were simply using the theatre (but produced by a local theatre group), co-productions with VUT, or simply a production listed on a director’s resume (that had no affiliation with VUT at all).  We will be going through old programs, yearbooks, and office documents in the future to clarify these records.  Thank you for your patience.
