Vanderbilt University Hospital Recycling Program
Vanderbilt University Hospital (VUH) Administration, VUH Environmental Services, and SEMO have teamed up to implement aluminum and plastic container (resin codes #1-7) recycling in staff break rooms, public lobbies, and waiting areas throughout the main hospital, Medical Center North Round Wing, Medical Arts Building, and Oxford House. Two outdoor containers are also available on the patio area near Courtyard Café and near Eskind Library. This recycling program, implemented in Summer 2009, supplements existing confidential paper and cardboard recycling efforts. For further information on the VUH Recycling Program, contact VUH Environmental Services at 615.818.4199.
Due to patient confidentiality concerns, paper continues to be recycled through Cintas secured paper bins. The paper that is placed into the Cintas bins is eventually recycled after the confidential information is destroyed. To set up a new account or schedule a service with Cintas, contact John Otis.
