Free Ride to Work Program:

Take the bus to and from work, and let Vanderbilt pay for it with the Free Ride to Work program!

Who is eligible?
All Vanderbilt faculty, staff and graduate students.

How much does it cost?
Nothing! It is free. Vanderbilt pays MTA directly for your ride to and from work only.

How does it work?
Just swipe your Vanderbilt ID when you get on the MTA bus, it's that simple. For more information or bus routes, visit the MTA web site at www.nashvillemta.org.

Carpool or Vanpool to work through VMC Ride Match

All full-time Vanderbilt employees are eligible to participate in the Ride Matching program. This program matches people from similar locations who wish to share a ride to Vanderbilt.

Discounted Tickets on the Music City Star Train

RTA Commuter rail service provides up to a 60% discount to all full-time Vanderbilt University and Medical Center employees. Rail stops include Lebanon, Martha, Mount Juliet, Hermitage, and Donelson. A free shuttle bus service between the Nashville Riverfront Terminal and the Vanderbilt Campus coincides with train arrivals and departures. Free Parking is available at Lot 127 on days you must drive to work. Shuttle service available to and from Lot 127 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tickets are available at Wesley Place garage, Medical Center North, Children's Hospital, East garage, and online through the Office of Traffic and Parking.

Zipcars at Vanderbilt

Zipcars are available at hourly or daily rates to all Vanderbilt employees, students, and departments.  Gas, insurance and 180 free miles are included with every reservation.
