Learn a full year of German over the summer!
Do you want to learn German, but you can’t travel abroad right now? If so, the German Department at Vanderbilt offers two beginner level summer immersion courses where you can experience real-world activities and situations in which you use German. Through a mixture of formal coursework with casual all- German lunches, you will have an opportunity to use German in authentic situations and in small group settings. Except for grammar explanations in English, courses are taught entirely in German. Because such intense language immersion is so student-focused, we expect you to achieve an unusual level of German proficiency.
