CampVandy Lead

CampVandy Lead Summer Camp (Ages 13-15)

CampVandy Lead is an opportunity for Teens to begin the transition from childhood into young adults while continuing to enjoy all the fun and excitement of summer camp. During this time, young men and women will have the chance to explore exciting locations  around Nashville, meet other students, and develop a sense of place within their community at CampVandy and their family at home.  They will begin this journey of self-discovery through a series of fun and exciting challenges and activities. In the end, they will learn more about themselves and the world around them.

A Safe Place: Adolescence can be a stressful and uncomfortable time. At CampVandy Lead, students participate in a number of positive personal and team building exercises that allow them to grow comfortably into their new skin and embrace the new maturity that comes with growing up. Through personal development activities and working together on team challenges, students can come into their own as young adults and learn to not be afraid of being themselves.

A Fun Summer Alternative: Nothing is more detrimental to the development of a student than a summer of staying at home with minimal mental stimulation. By incorporating reading, math, science, and standard study skills into our exciting daily activities, CampVandy Lead provides a fun summer alternative that will keep learning going year round.

What do parents think of CampVandy Lead?

“My child was often sitting in the front of the TV during his summer break, rarely talking and often looking bored with his summer. CampVandy Lead changed all that and helped bring out the son I knew I had. He would come home telling me a new story of his adventures every day and I could tell he was growing up thanks to the activities of CampVandy Lead.”
- Parent 1, Nashville, TN

There are so many camps for sports and activities, but none that focus on the kids themselves and helping to build their confidence and determination. CampVandy Lead gave my daughter a new sense of self, pushed her to try new things, and gave her the confidence to tackle any challenge. The life lessons she learned during CampVandy Lead were invaluable and I will definitely send her back again.”
- Parent 2, Franklin, TN

As a working parent, I was worried my kids were not losing all the progress they had made over the year wasting away at home. CampVandy Lead allowed them to keep moving forward, both physically and mentally, and taught them skills that helped them in school the next year. I look forward to sending them to CampVandy Lead again next year and seeing how much more than can achieve.”
