We are now accepting applications for 2012-2013Â employment. Applications will be distributed to each area supervisor based on the area marked interested at the top of the application. Please allow time for multiple supervisor’s to view your application if more than one area is marked interested. Supervisor’s will contact applicants in regards to all applications received.

Intramurals
Supervisors: Supervisors serve as on-site administrators for team sports. Duties include supervision of officials, coordinating events, facility preparation, and equipment supply/distribution. Interested persons should be familiar with one or more intramural team sports with officiating experience required.
Officials: Officials are needed for the team sports of Flag Football, Basketball, Softball, Soccer, Volleyball, and Innertube Water Polo. Previous officiating experience and knowledge of one of these sports is preferred, but not necessary. Officials meetings and clinics are scheduled by the OCR to offer beginning and veteran officials the necessary knowledge and skill required to officiate.
Tournament Coordinators: Coordinators are needed to ensure that individual and group sports tournaments run in an organized fashion. Duties include recording scores, checking-in participants, updating tournament brackets and monitoring rule compliance. No previous experience is required.

Membership/Marketing Student Assistants
Staff assistants are involved in many facets of the Student Recreation Center Marketing and Membership department. Responsibilities include creating marketing flyers for the SRC, designing/producing logos for marketing materials, designing/producing brochures, and aiding in membership data entry and maintenance. Other duties include web-site updates and maintenance/enhancement.

Member Relations Student Assistants
Provides enjoyable and safe services to telephone & walk up patrons. Facilitate membership sales, guest passes, and equipment services including locker/towel rentals. Enforces facility policies, event setups, and first aid/risk management needs.

Aquatics
Lifeguards: Lifeguards are needed year round for recreational swimming, lap swimming and OCR programs. Duties include opening and closing pool, enforcing pool rules and swimmer safety. Each lifeguard must possess a current lifeguard and CPR-professional rescurer certifications.
Swim Instructors: Swim Instructors are needed for both private and group lessons. Previous experience required.

Aerobic Instructors: Certification preferred. No previous teaching experience necessary. Applicants will be auditioned. Some training is available. Must be enthusiastic about fitness and have a motivating personality. Employee must be responsible for his/her own shift and attend staff meetings.

Fitness Center Attendants: No previous experience necessary. Responsibilities include to assist in the cleaning, maintenance and operation of the fitness and cardiovasular equipment. Also, provide instruction on proper use of the equipment and patron safety.

Wellness Resource Center
Will assist WRC supervisor in providing resources and wellness services to members of the Student Recreation Center. Includes checking in/out resources, assisting with the computer programs, promotions, light office work (filing, appointment book) and assisting in some health screening. Should be responsible, dependable, mature, and interested in helping people improve their wellness and health. Employee must be reponsible for his/her own shift and attend staff meetings.

Youth Programs
Counselors are needed for holiday camps as well as summer day camps. The summer day camp program could provide counselors with up to 40 hour per week. These counselors assist the assistant director in supervision and interaction with children ranging from 4 – 15 years of age. Another primary responsibility is to ensure the safety and security of the children.

Outdoor Recreation Staff
Paid positions include Equipment Rental Specialists, Climbing Wall Instructors, and Kayaking Instructors. Trip Coordinators serve on a volunteer basis. Written applications are available for all applicants.
