"Living With A Purpose in Mind"
Voices of Praise Gospel Ministries was founded in 1992 by Kito Huggins, a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Voices of Praise (also known as V.O.P) is made up of a gospel choir, step team, and dance team. No experience is necessary to join any division of V.O.P, just a love for Jesus Christ and dedication to uplifting his name through song, step, and/or dance. All divisions of Voices of Praise meet weekly and do several performances throughout the school year. Our signature event for the fall is the Gospel ExtraVUganza. The Gospel ExtraVUganza is a concert composed of Vanderbilt's V.O.P and area choirs around the greater Nashville area. Along with concerts of this magnitude, V.O.P does church performances and performed at Chancellor Gee's house. Our step team, "CHOSEN", opened for the Annual MOSAIC step show. Last year's dance team may have been small in number but they have been performing right along with the choir in many performances. We look forward to another blessed year and we hope that you will join us in our service to Jesus Christ.

 The Gospel ExtraVUganza was a huge success. Praises were lifted and blessings surely came down. Thank yous go out to all the choirs a part of the program and the directors that worked with them. A special thanks to Friendship Missionary Baptist Church for letting us use their facilities. We look forward to next year's ExtraVUganza.
