Community Service Jobs for Students
The community service provisions of the FWS program were designed to provide part-time employment and encourage FWS recipients to participate in community service activities. Community services jobs include opportunities to work in areas of health care, child care, support services to students with disabilities, tutoring, mentoring, and neighborhood improvement. All student eligibility requirements and funding for the program are the same as in the regular FWS program. Students who do not qualify for FWS are also eligible and encouraged to seek employment in community service positions.
