Vanderbilt has two employment programs through which students may work at Vanderbilt:
- Federal Work Study (FWS) and the
- Vanderbilt Institutional Employment (VIE) Program.
Students whose financial aid award packages include a Federal Work Study award are eligible for FWS employment. There are many student jobs available on campus through the VIE program for those students who are not eligible for FWS, which include undergraduate students who have an Academic Year Earnings Expectations listed on the Financial Aid Notification Letter. Student Employment does not assign or place students into employment positions. Students may initiate the job search by logging onto the online job bank, HireADore. Position postings for both FWS and VIE as well as off-campus opportunties may be found there.
Student Employment provides processing assistance to University/Medical departments who hire students. Students may be employed through FWS or the VIE program. Students are employed in many departments on the Vanderbilt University campus and the VU Medical Center. Part-time jobs help students meet a portion of their educational expenses while learning job skills and obtaining valuable work experience. Please post your open positions on HireADore.
Off-Campus employers may post part-time employment opportunities for current Vanderbilt students through the HireADore website. It is a free service to all employers who wish to list employment opportunities as well as to VU students seeking employment.
