The Student Life Center is the perfect place for your meeting or event! Whether you are planning a conference, banquet, non-profit benefit, holiday party, or any other type of event, the SLC has the space to make your event great! With 18,000 square feet of flexible event space, the SLC has the perfect space for groups from 10 to over 1000. Let our friendly and professional staff help make your corporate event everything you want and more!

The SLC has several event spaces that can accommodate varying needs. With a large ballroom, large meeting room, and several smaller meeting rooms, we have the flexibility to make your event successful. In addition to our dedicated event spaces, the SLC has gathering, pre-function and outdoor space.

The Commodore Ballroom at the Vanderbilt Student Life Center is 9,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, perfect for concerts, exhibitor fairs, banquets, and much more. Included in all ballroom rentals is the use of tables and chairs, as well as our adjustable size staging. Additional items include a dance floor, pipe & drape, lighting, and audio/visual equipment. Pricing and additional items are available upon request.

If you are looking for a smaller space the Board of Trust Room may just have what you are looking for. With just over 2,500 square feet, this space is best suited for smaller groups still looking for an elegant yet professional setting. The SLC also has three smaller meeting rooms that are perfect for break-out spaces or private meetings for groups under 50. Tables and chairs are included in the rental of all these spaces. Pricing for audio/visual equipment and additional items can be provided upon request.

Please note that all off-campus meetings and events are only permitted during months when the University is not in session (ie Spring Break, Winter Break, and Summer).
