As students leave this weekend to enjoy a much deserved break, Sarratt Student Center | Rand Hall will also observe fall break with the special schedule outlined below: OPEN 7AM - 9PM     Wednesday October 3rd OPEN 7AM - 5PM     Thursday October 4th OPEN 7AM - 5PM      Friday October 5th CLOSED                          Saturday October 6th OPEN 12PM - 12AM   Sunday October 7th Note the Box Office will close 30 minutes prior to the special schedule each day. The final phase of the Sarratt and Rand project includes several spaces and meeting rooms that you should be aware of.  The spaces listed below will be complete and available beginning Monday October 8^th. You can begin reserving these spaces on Monday September 10^th by contacting Reservations and Events. Here are some of the specifics for each of the spaces that will be available.

• The Rand Lounge (formerly the 1^st floor of the bookstore) is designed for special events and performances for up to 350 people.  The space is equipped with two large screens and projectors along with 4 televisions.  Event set ups are flexible and it is best to contact the Reservations office for more information.   This space will also relieve the lunch time rush in the facility by providing additional dining and seating options.
• The Rand Skylight and Rand Connector are great spaces for receptions for approximately 100 people.  The Rand connector is located at the top of the new staircase from the main floor of Rand Dining Center.  The Rand Skylight is located in the former second floor of the bookstore outside of the Anchor (student organization space).
• Three new conference rooms will be available.  Each of these rooms are equipped with a built in LCD TV and have a fixed conference table to seat 14.
• Rand 308 is a flexible meeting and event space ideal for a speaker or larger meeting.  The capacity will be 48 classroom, 28 conference and 98 theatre style.  Beginning Spring 2013, classes will be held in this space daily, but the space will be available for evening and weekend activities.  This space is equipped with an LCD projector/screen and lectern.  Standing reservations will not be approved in this space.

Your opinion counted!  More meeting rooms are available to reserve in Sarratt|Rand.  Sarratt 331 is located in the east wing and will seat 28 in conference.  Sarratt 361 is located in the west wing and will seat 22 in conference.  While no a/v is built into these rooms, you can reserve the LCD Television for your meetings.  Please contact Reservations and Events or visit Virtual EMS to check availability and make your request today.  Stay tuned....more meeting rooms to open after Fall Break!

Its halfway through summer and renovation has taken over the facility.  Crews have finished all demolition and are slowly but surely rebuilding Sarratt and Rand.  Our new stairwell and connector have been constructed; the new windows have been punched out; and all the new counters and serving stations have been delivered.  August will be exciting time for everyone.  We are all excited to show you the updates to Sarratt and Rand.  For more updates and pictures visit www.vanderbilt.edu/sarratt or visit our Facebook Page.

In recognition of Independence Day, Sarratt Student Center and the Student Life Center will be closed on Wednesday, July 4th. Both facilities will re-open on July 5th with regular operating hours. Have a safe and happy holiday!

In recognition of Memorial Day, the Student Centers will be closed Saturday, May 26 through Monday, May 28. All offices will reopen on Tuesday, May 29 with normal summer operation hours. Have a safe and enjoyable weekend!

Feeling drowsy from all of that studying? Well take a break! April 25th, 26th, 29th and 30th, the Dean of Students Office and Sarratt Student Center bring you free coffee drinks from 6PM to 9PM. Come to the Last Drop Coffee Shop and enjoy some caffeine, on us!

It is that time of year again, the summer months are approaching and with that comes finals. If you need a place to study the Student Centers have you covered. Sarratt Student Center will be open 24/7 and the Student Life Center will be extending its hours to 12am during finals. Starting April 24, Sarratt meetings rooms will be available for study space, unless posted otherwise. In the SLC, the Board of Trust Room and Lower Level meeting rooms will be available from 7am-12am on weekdays, and 9am-12am on weekends. Both centers will have space available until the end of exams on May 3. Whether studying alone or in a group, Student Centers is the place to be!

Sarratt Student Center is collecting all t-shirts, flyers, posters, and photos from past student events to help decorate the new spaces in the renovation.  We want your organization to literally leave its mark in the building.  Drop off any old promotional items to Sarratt Suite 100.
